I was first introduced to Trixie books when I was in the sixth grade. I would get so involved in them that I became oblivious to what was going on around me. I read the books for a number of years but, became less interested as I got into my college years.
I stayed with a friend over one summer several years ago and discovered her Trixie collection. I read those and enjoyed them, but the obsession was not yet sparked. That began when I went home to visit my parents about a year ago and found book #1 in a box. Of course I wanted to dig out the rest of them (I had many, including the last 5 in the series) to read. That's when I was informed,
"we gave them all away to a neighbor's child"
I didn't stop to think that I should be happy that someone else was getting to enjoy Trixie - I was just mad that my books were gone!
A few months after that I stumbled upon the Trixie Belden Homepage and not long after that Jixemitri. The obsession was fully born. I lurked and lurked and lurked. I finally decided to post and start writing.
This website is pretty darn basic, but really it's just a place for stories to reside. To see some pics of the obession in progress check out the pics.
The personal info.: I live in Oakland, Ca with my boyfriend Clay and cat Ivy. I'm currently an office manager at a graphic design company. Clay and I are fairly boring, our fun consists of going to the gym, watching lots of movies, playing on our computers, and reading. We do other stuff on occasion but I seem to have forgotten what it is! My favorite author (Trixie books aside of course) is Mary Doria Russell. She's written two books so far, a third is in progress.
