November 6, 2000: I am so in love with our baby Rachel!! Michael and I both have her picture on our desks at work and I know I have a hard time not spending all day staring at her!! LOL We don't know yet exactly when we will travel but we are hoping for December travel. If the "typical" times hold up, we will be in China for Christmas!!! What a WONDERFUL Christmas that will be!!! The best EVER. |

We got some wonderfully updated information about Rachel today including two more pictures!!! The pictures were taken just last week and emailed to our agency! This is what she looks like now -- I am in awe. I'm looking into the face of my little one knowing this is just what she looks like! |

Isn't she just the most beautiful baby??? I love how her little hand is tucked inside her sleeve. And I LOVE the red booties!! |

We also got her current height and weight, etc. As of last week, she weighed almost 14 lbs and was almost 25" long! Although she's about doubled in weight from April, she's just a little peanut! She's on the 10th percentile on the Chinese Growth Charts. But her updated medicals says she's healthy so I'm not too worried. |

She doesn't have any teeth yet -- I think she'll probably be teething when we get her next month. Oh boy! |

We're now waiting for the next travel packet from the agency. We still won't know when we'll be traveling but I understand we'll be getting information about every week from CCAI outlining what paperwork we need, how to prepare, etc. etc. |

I've also "met" some of parents we will be traveling with when we go to China over the Internet. We've been trading pictures of our daughters (they are ALL beautiful!) and we're all getting excited about finally going! More later ... |
