June 24, 2000: We're getting more information from CCAI! Last week we
received a video about traveling to China. What to take, what not to take,
what type of medicines to think about for us and the baby, what type of
formula/food, clothes, what travel within China is like -- even what type of
bottle nipples to buy!

Yesterday we received another packet of information about Chinese culture,
Chinese naming conventions, and a video about adoption and attachment
issues. We haven't watched the video yet but the packet had some really
interesting information.
|
|
It included several sheets of Chinese name characters with their
pronounciation and meaning. Typically children are given a combination of
two of these characters to form the name. I read through the list wondering
which ones our little Rachel was named with.

The best part of the whole packet though was the cover letter. It said that
probably the next time CCAI contacted us, it would be with our referral !!!
That was THRILLING to read! I am counting the days ....
