Benesh Notation

What is it ?

This is a way used by notaters to record ballet steps.

This is helpful for choreographers to remember new steps.

How does it work?

It is recorded on a five-line stave and uses symbols to

discribe what the dancers body is doing. The stave lines represent

the different levels of the dancers body when they are standing up

straight, as shown below :
