Well, it's a sad day for us.
The war with Iraq has begun and I don't imagine our world will ever be the same.
Danielle asked me last night - "Is that bad man across the ocean going to hurt our feelings?"
I guess in her 3 year old world - hurt feelings are the worst thing she can imagine.. and I'm glad for that..
On a happier note, we just got home last week from our cruise.
Danielle got to go with us!!!
We had a great week - Barbados, Martinique and St. Maarten!
I've got some great pictures, I'll have to post them soon!
Other than that.. I'm just working like crazy -
Danielle is taking a preschool class and ballet and tap lessons.
She'll have her first recital in June.
She is going to have another cardiology appointment in April. I'm a little nervous about that - but I always am..

Another summer - headed down the drain!!
Danielle's 3rd birthday is right around the corner.
I added new pictures today on her birthday page.
We're going to have a "Dora the Explorer" party, I think..
she keeps debating between Dora, and a "Lilo Hula Dancer party".
We've been so busy this year.
I'm working so many hours, and when I get home.. time to feed everybody, and give baths, and read stories... The nights just fly by!
Danielle is signed up for a preschool class which starts next month.
I am a little nervous to leave her there by herself,
but I'm sure it will be MUCH harder for me.
Dan and I are going on a little vacation in October to Boston and
New York City. We went to NYC in March for 4 days,
but there were so many things we didn't have time to see,
we decided to go back and try and get it ALL DONE!!
We also booked another cruise for March, 2003.
We'll be going to Barbados, Martinique and St. Maarten this time.
It's a brand new ship on the Carnival line.. it should be nice!

Danielle is going to be 2 years old next week!
I can't believe it!
We've had a busy year.. I'm back to work now full time - no more stay home mommy days... and that makes me a little sad. I miss Danielle dearly during the day.. and it's always hard to leave her in the morning.
Please take a look at her new pictures! She's getting so big.
I really can't believe the difference between her 18 month pictures and her 2 year old pictures... all of the sudden she's not a little baby anymore.. she's a little GIRL!
Anyways, I'll try to get better at writing updates...

well, it's New Year's Eve...
I don't know where this year has gone!
I looked at Danielle today and I realized...
She's not a little baby anymore.. She's a TODDLER!!!
I have no idea when that happened....
I was here every day.. I didn't miss a minute.. and somehow it happened right before my eyes..
It's the strangest thing.. and it's so sad...

We are hoping for a better, healthier 2001!!
We're going on vacation in February on a cruise.. and I'm really excited for the trip.. Danielle will be spending the week at Grandma's house, and I am going to miss her dearly..
But I am going to have FUN FUN FUN!!
Sometime after the cruise.. we should be getting started on Baby #2...
That should be interesting..
it's kind of stressful to think about..
Danielle is CLIMBING and getting into everything..

We had a fun day with Danielle.
Holidays are so much fun with a baby around...
What a bad mom I've been..
I don't know what the heck I have been doing all day,
but I haven't sat down and updated our pages!!
Danielle had her pediatric cardiology appointment this week, and
luckily her tests came back good..
The doctor said we should go back in April, and we can stop the
asprin therapy for now..
I was very relieved for that news!
Besides that.. just getting ready for Samhain
(Halloween to all you non-wiccan readers)
Danielle is going to be either a Hershey Kiss or a witch.
I bought two costumes and I can't decide which one she'll wear.
Whichever one is easier, probably.
She doesn't stay still for very much nowadays. :-)
She's RUNNING, and talking a mile a minute.

We're having a BIG party on Saturday.. but today "Papa" (Grandpa) came over and brought a new WAGON! While Danielle was in the hospital, poor grandpa had to do about a zillion laps with the wagon...
so he decided that would be a great birthday gift!
He also brought her first birthday cake..
and she made a great, big mess!
This afternoon we went to lunch with Grandma..

This has been a pretty traumatic two weeks for us..
10 days ago, Danielle caught a virus.. She was very, very sick.
Unfortunately, her body did not respond the normal way to the virus, and
a "computer glitch" in her brain released too many antibodies into her
system.. This caused what is known as "Kawasaki Disease".
She had to be admitted to the hospital for IVIG treatments to "reset" her system. We will have to continue to monitor her heart for any further complications with a pediatric cardiologist.
I have added a "Kawasaki Disease" page to provide more information on this rare disease. It usually affects babies up to age 5.
This has been a very scary few days for us..
We are thankful that we have had good results with the EKG and ECHOgraph.
We got the room finished!! Hooray!
