Hamilton College Academic Year in Spain (Primavera 2003)
Ok, so this page has pictures of where I attended classes.  I only did a semester abroad in Madrid, and my semester there were 52  students with HCAYS.

This here is "el Centro" where all our classrooms and computer labs were located.  It is a brand new building and it's  beautiful.  It's in the neighborhood Metropolitano, on a quaint little street right next to CEU, one of the major universities in Madrid.  So it's an area with a bunch of students, but really the street was mostly residential houses.  My roommate, Joanne, and I walked everyday from our appartment in Moncloa.

One of the classrooms is a dance studio.  HCAYS offers Flamenco dance classes.  I tried Sevillanas during orientation, no more dance for me!  But at the end of the semester the students performed.  The studio also served as our student art gallery for our exibit.
After the performance, all the students and professors went to the bar at CEU for tapas and drinks.  (I don't think that will ever happen at Bucknell.)  Here the girls show off their moves.
While in Madrid I took four classes, Spanish art history, language, painting, and a Spanish sociology course where we were required to do an internship in the local community.  I chose to work at Colegio FEM and helped teach English to 3rd, 5th, and 6th graders.  Here are some of my 5th grade students at recess.
