Vancouverites always refer to the "local mountains". These are 3 mountains right on our doorstep, just 30 minutes away from downtown Vancouver. They are responsible for the beautiful backdrop for Vancouver and also for some of the rain.

As an indication of the type of life people lead here, after work in the summer months Grouse mountain is a popular hiking spot and during the ski season a lot of people go night skiing.
