i was the first one there.  i got betty all tricked out with time trial
gear.  i had an awesome warmup (to a live cracker bootleg from johnson, as
usual).  i felt really strong and was looking to prove after fitchburg
that i can indeed time trial.

i felt great, i was focused, and i went off the course onto route
125.  the course wasn't marked really well and there wasn't a marshal on
the corner until about 15 minutes later so four other people went off the
course after i did, including a woman who'd done the race before.  i
didn't even know i'd missed the turn.

they wouldn't let any of the 5 of us redo it, but luckily it's a points
race (final placing based on points) and not a stage race (final placing
based on total time).  although i've basically blown any chance of doing
well.  and i've got to wake up and go to work in 6 hours, so good night.
