Jiminy Peak

I got super sick (massive cold) a couple days before this race. I was hoping I'd feel better though, plus I'd offered someone a ride, plus I had huge boxes of stuff to give to my teammates. So I drove three hours to Jiminy Peak and decided that I absolutely did not feel okay enough to race. The promoter was really nice and said he wouldn't cash my check.

So instead of racing, I slept in my car for about 3 hours. It was lovely. In the middle of it, Mark Abramson appeared to me, as if in a dream. He tried to convince me to go for a ride up Mt. something-or-other. It sounded unpleasant. I don't remember what I said to him. I might have just gone back to sleep.

After we got back to civilization, Elizabeth, my very cool road trip companion, offered me some herbal tea which I promptly drank when I got home. There's a couple road races coming up next weekend. I think I'll be better by then.
