Name: Urick Inocere

Age: 32
Gender: M
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 180
Description and Character Notes:
Urick was just sort of an ordinary guy, with a wife and a little kid, who ran a corner shop and was leading a pretty ordinary life. Then, one day, he got a shipment of bright red apples (more hot pink really) from a shipment he didn't recall ordering, and from a supplier he'd never heard of. There wasn't a company name on the box, only a logo, which resembled a stylized drawing of a shapely woman's butt as she bent over to pick something up. He loved apples, though his wife and child didn't, being highly allergic (something to do with a chemical found in the skin). So, of course, he ate one , and it was the sweetest, most wonderful thing he'd ever tasted. Like honey from heaven.
But, eating this woke up something inside him, garden-of-Eden style. And that's when he started developing certain mental abilities that he'd never had before, and that he tries to deny having. What he wants more than anything is just to go back to being ordinary.
For the past ten years, Urick has been married to Tshaya, a gypsy who came through town with a caravan, whom he successfully wooed with an oversized fruit basket. Tshaya calls herself a horticulture artist, meaning that she grows flowers in such a way that they intertwine in regular patterns, thereby creating an underlying structure for an abstract representation of the self. Urick sells her work in his shop, The Vegetable Garden, but truthfully, her pieces don't sell very well (possibly a little too avant-garde for the neighborhood). Tshaya also takes care of the couple's two-year-old son, Pani, who is mostly interested in bright colors and things that make noise. Tshaya is a famous local beauty, with her exotic midnight black tresses that hang down to her knees and are bound with silk thread and bells that jingle everywhere she goes.
Urick works long hours, and prefers to spend his time off at home, with Tshaya and Pani. He does occasionally lose spectacularly at Hnefatafl, which he plays with the guys at the local pub, though he's never been completely certain of the rules. He also does daily meditation exercises, something Tshaya introduced into the household. He usually wears a grey shirt and pants, with a green apron, silk-screened with the name of his shop.
Urick keeps to himself, for the most part, though he does have a slightly paternal relationship with Fazut, his shop-assistant/errand boy. Fazut is disabled, having lost his right arm as a young child, when he got too close to the bear cage the year the circus came into town. So, Urick has to do most of the heavy lifting at the shop, but Fazut can manage just about everything else. He usually works at the cash register, and is pretty knowledgeable about the produce they sell.
