Kriton Didone for flute, clarinet, percussion, piano, violin and violoncello.
Kriton Didone for flute, clarinet, percussion, piano, violin and violoncello was composed during the period from July to October 2000. The work is based on a historical chess game between Karpov and Kasparov.

Each piece of the board corresponds to a set of possibilities of certain musical instruments. Each square of the board represents a group of rhythmical, melodic and harmonic choices through the musical material. Consequently, the players movements provide the limits of freedom in which the musical events develop.

Moreover, the game obtains the hypostasis of a libretto of a musical-theatre work, on which the composer has been invited to write music! The players striving for Kriton Didone means improvement of their position, Euripides, Iketides, 409- results in dramatic turns and fluctuations. The projection of the battle to the theatre of real life brings uncertainty about who is going to be the final winner. The certainty that final winner is none other but the Time, moderates the self-deception that it was just a game
