I am a college student and I love people. I also like to listen to music, hang out with friends, take pictures, watch movies, read books (especially Shakespeare), write poems and generally have a good time in school and avoid stress.
I am majoring in Psychology with an emphasis on Children. I love kids, because life is made up of the simple joys for them and they don't know enough to hide the truth unless they are in trouble. I haven't exactly decided on what I am going to do with my major. I seem to be leaning towards working in Social Work with abused children. Who knows! I actually don't even want a career. If finances allow, I plan to be a stay at home mom for my kids. But, I'm going to college so that I will have an education with which to get a job when I need one-NOT to find a husband so that I won't have to get a job!
Well, I love cats. I have two, but they live at home. Their names are Kiwi and Billy (I didn't name either of them). Too bad I couldn't bring them to college with me. Fortunately, there are, like, a million stray cats that hang around campus. They are relatively friendly at night, but thats only because all of the scary boys who torture them have gone away. 'Tis a sad sad thing what males do to poor wonderful kitty cats...
Some of my favorite music bands are ZoeGirl, Stacie Oricco,Superchic[k], and Out of Eden (links above). However, I listen to so many different groups from so many different genres that it would be psycho to try to name them all. But actually, I have to add one more because I have recently gone to a couple concerts by a band that four of my friends are in. They are The Genues(link below) and I bought their CD. You should check them out...

For some reason, this baseball season, I have become more die-hard about my San Francisco Giants. Maybe my ex-boyfriend is to blame for that. They had a great start to their season this year, but somehow they lost it somewhere, but are now back on top...barely....and occasionally not there... but so close... OK, not so clase anymore. That is such a bummer, though, because I was hoping for another World Series. I haven't given up hope yet, though. I think I'm the type that hopes even when there isn't a reason to...
What else should you know about me...
My two favorite TV shows are Friends and Gilmore Girls. Gilmore Girls is the cutest show! The witty comments between mother and daughter are at times hard to keep up with, but always fun to listen to. Friends... well, what can I say? its Friends! Jennifer Aniston rocks and Matthew Perry is awesome! Its kind of addictive, actually. The funniest part, though, is that my dorm lobby is always full of girls on Thursday nights to watch Friends. They get so worked about about everything that happens in that show. Its most entertaining!
I always read one book for fun amidst all of the school books for my courses. I just finished Gone With The Wind (my summer project) and am now on to Dante's Divine Comedy. I'm not sure what I think of it yet or even if I will like it, but because it is a classic I know that I want to read it.
I went to Chicago near the end of the summer to see a modernized version of The Comedy of Errors by Shakespeare in rap/hip-hop style which they re-titled The Bomb-itty of Errors. It was an absolute blast and so entertaining. They really did a great job! If only I lived closer to Chicago and I could go see it again.
The last and most important thing that I have to say is that I believe that we have a loving God who is our creator. I believe that we sin and are only granted forgiveness through the death of Jesus Christ who is The Messiah. I live my life for Him because He is the only one worth living for.
