In 2007 I attended Central New Mexico Community College while there I enrolled in the Film TechTraining Program. This program is designed to train students on set ettiquette as well as below the line jobs (Gripping, Gaffing, Sound, ETC).
Every Sunday we filmed around campus, Most of the time I was a Camera Operator and i edited most of our work. Here's a sample of what we did.
Our first short (We guerillaed the police station scene)
Our final class project was a 20 minute short called "Mercy". It was basically about a guy being scammed by hotel staff. In the first days of Preproduction we discussed certain shots. I admit I'm not much at verbally convencing folks to do an idea but once I shot a rough cut people were on board.
CNM Film Project "Mecy"
In March of 2008 Mark Underwood (The cook/punk in "MERCY") emailed me and asked for my help on an audition clip for a special interest position for a local television station. He made the top ten out of thirty entries with "Attack of The Pink Bunny" then he won the contest with a clip of him around town. I shot both we edited the first one then the second one I sat him down and told him to have fun! He did a great job!!
