Questa malattia inizia con macchie bianche che possono essere presenti su tutto il corpo e in alcuni casi, come in quello di Mchael, puo' interessare tutta la pelle. Vari esperti di dermatologia hanno spiegato questo tipo di malattia: le cellule di melanina sono molto sensibili ad alcune sostanze prodotte dal corpo quando viene sottoposto a stress intensi. Sostanzilamente sono residui di adrenalina riversati nel sangue. Queste sostanze sono tossiche per i melanociti e negli individui il cui sistema immunitario non funziona bene, probabilmente per ereditariet�, i melanociti muoiono.La zona di pelle corrispondente sbianca...e non torna piu' scura. Gli individui affetti da vitiligine non possono esporsi al sole o rischiano scottature non indifferenti...e qui si spiega il mistero di ombrelli e mascherine usate da Michael. Oggi esistono alcuni modi per lo schiarimento della pelle, ma quando comincio' lo schiarimento della pelle di Michael non c'era nessun metodo. Lui stesso ha piu' volte spiegato questo problema, ha spiegato che ha dovuto coprire le macchie con molto trucco e che � una malattia che non puo' controllare, ha provato anche a far capire che viene ferito quando la gente pensa che voglia rinnegare le sue origini, perch� non � cos�. Ora provate a immedesimarvi e provate a capire cosa deve aver passato Michael.... |

| The color of his skin used to be black, why is it white now? There's been so many rumours, speculations among the people, that I've decided to make a brief explanation here. Michael Jackson suffers from an disease called Vitiligo ("leukoderma"). Vitiligo causes destruction of melanocytes in the skin. Melanocytes provide the pigment that gives skin its color. The loss of melanocytes alters both the structure and function of these organs and results in the absence of pigment (irregular white spots or patches appears on the skin). It may turn up at any age. The cause of vitiligo is not greatly understood, and there may be many causes that result in the condition.
This disease affects an estimated 2% of the world's population. It affects individuals of all ethnic origins and both sexes. Loss of pigment most commonly is noted first on the hands, feet, arms, face or lips. Frequently this disease is progressive. The course and severity of pigment loss differ with each person. Light-skinned people usually notice the contrast between areas of vitiligo and suntanned skin in the summer. Year round, vitiligo is more obvious on people with darker skin. Individuals with severe cases can lose pigment virtually everywhere. There is no way to predict how much pigment an individual will lose. Typical vitiligo shows areas of milky-white skin. However, the degree of pigment loss can vary within each vitiligo patch. There may be different shades of pigment in a patch or a border of darker skin may circle an area of light skin. Vitiligo often begins with a rapid loss of pigment. This may continue until, for unknown reasons, the process stops. Cycles of pigment loss, followed by times where the pigment doesn't change, may continue indefinitely. It is rare for skin pigment in vitiligo patients to return on its own. Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes (the cells that make pigment) in the skin, the tissues that line the inside of the mouth and nose and genital and rectal areas (mucous membranes), and the retina of the eyes are DESTROYED. As a result, white patches of skin appear on different parts of the body. The thought of a black person turning WHITE from a so called bleaching cream is absurd. There is NO Scientific proof of this. And there are NO cases of such. If there were, it would be all over the news. And why would Michael be the ONLY black person who has used this so called product to become MILK WHITE.In addition, Michael is NOT the only person who suffers from Vitiligo. There are other cases. The Vitiligo Society states the following: "It affects at least ONE in every HUNDRED people in countries throughout the world. It affects people of both sexes equally, and it affects all races. It can begin at any age, though about fifty percent of people with vitiligo develop it before the age of twenty five." |
