Intro (sans "melange"): C7 C7 A B7 Well I was driving up the highway thinking about I don't know what in particular F What riot I would find when I got to Berkeley, I suppose Ab When I noticed these strange vibrations D G7 Or was I falling in love C7 A Well, I don't have a radio in my car so the noises I was hearing B7 F Frightened me enough that I began to wonder about the wisdom Ab C Of wanderin' on the road at eighty-five F# Now I should explain that I often drive alone G B7 But this time I was giving my friend and his wife a ride Eb Or was she falling in love F# Ab Now my friend don't drive and he's not used to the strange vibrations in my '60 Dodge Db7 F# A Db7 But then if I had more money I'd probably be worried about why the plane was wigglin' BREAK: C7-A-B7-F-Ab-D7-G7- C7-A-B7-F-Ab-C- F#-G-B7-Eb F# Ab Anyway it takes a certain amount of blind faith to make 99 in an old car Db7 No matter what your experience or precaution F# But I just had a tune-up A Db7 And anyway you can't dodge the one with your number on it, so to speak BREAK: C7-A-B7 F Ab D-G Why do I always seem to vibrate with my friend's old lady?
