I actually started off in music writing lyrics that friends of mine would put music to and it was only after wanting to be able to play the songs that friends of mine had put to music that I began to serch for an instrument to play.

I choose bass at the recomendation of a friend of mine Rick Steff at the age of 15. I started study at home as well as a local music store...but nothing could compre me for the learning adventures that I had yet to come.

In 1979-1980 School year my family moved to Little Rock  Ark where I answered an ad for a group of musicans looking for a bass player. These guys loved to jam and had a great place to do it . We would have band practices on Monday ,Wensday amd Friday nights. There would be jam sessions on Tuesdays and Thursday nights.

Because I actually started off wrtting lyrics rather than just playing out  it lead me to look for musicans that "had something going "on rather than just the ablity to play.

People that wanted to say something with their music.

This is also a reason that I have taken recording classes as well as having played a little session work. Well actually I am some what of a recording freak and often if I am playing I insest that the practice or show be recorded  .

There was a time that I actually gave up music for a while...actually it was a span of time that lasted for about 6 years e
