I am ammused by Politics....and the way it is presented.

I feel that it is only correct to mention that I think of myself as a Republican ...Although I would be a very left leaning Republican....

Here are the problems as I see them ...I have some problems with the dems because they seem to want to fix all of our problems through goverment programs. In the mean time I ask myself who is going to pay for these programs. Personally I would rather keep an eye on my own child than to have a goverment agnecy pay someone I don't know to keep an eye on my child as I go out and try to make ends meet...in this really screwed up world that we are presented with.

Another problem as I see it is that people that are dem inclined seem to think that it is the goverments job to correct all of our social ills ...I feel REALLY at ease saying this because I donate several hours of my own personal time being involved at the local F.O.E. Area where we "work" to gather income for projects that most people think are covered through tax dollars.

Just an example : We donate several dollars to the local school for band uniforms ...not only that we contribute money for things that the police department needs...stun guns ...boats ect ect ect ... So my question is why is it that a Private Organization is busy gathering funds for such public projects such as public school bands or police departments ?
