I had never heard of the F.O.E. There weren't any F.O.E. Aries in Memphis Tn....but then I moved to Ohio where my Love/ Hate relationship with the F.O.E. be gain.

This has to be one of the greatest concepts of all times, however the real life execution of the concept sometimes leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Basicly the concecpt is best described by relaying the information that the orginal name was "To the order of good things". The F.O.E really has found a way to help people and have a pretty good time aat the same time...but there isn't really a clear path to go about doing this.

You sort of have to go to meetings and learn how it all works before you can be really effective ( of course ) but problems rise up because everyone that joins has an equal membership with everyong else... which really only seems the right way to do things.Problems however arise out of this situation when someone that doesnt normally go to meetings is down in the social room has a little to much fun and then trouble starts and that person decided that they need to go to a meeting to vent about what happened in the social room.

We only have two meetings a month and if we have to handle something that happened in the social room during a meeting that event normally dominates the theme for that one meeting of the two for that month.

There is actually a chain of command so these interuptions should never happen ...but they do.

What people that go to meetings actually want to do is make their community a better place to live in by helping out non profits with money that they need to operate .
