... and in the end ? I'm sure there is a philosophical point to be made on the recent death of Stanley Miller (1930-2007), who kick-started the investigation of the chemical origins of life in 1953 with a report of a single, now widely known experiment.

Sadly, the following half-century didn't add all that much enlightenment to that early spark, so we still don't know exactly how life originated. Thus, it may well have been the frustration that killed him.
