My 2003 book, Light and Life has now sold 3001 copies, I just found out.
This is relevant, as I had a theory that the sales were levelling off at 2950 or so because the publishers couldn't be bothered to reprint, but now they've proven me wrong ...
This book has suffered a lot from the general turmoil in the publishing industry. The editor who commissioned it was fired soon after, and her department merged into the dictionary / reference dept., so I ended up publishing the book with people who weren't as excited about it as the original editor. And these people have now disappeared from the radar as well, so there is nobody left there who has any interest in the book. Hence I've given up pestering them for a paperback edition, am just sitting back and enjoying the royalty statements :)
So much for my attempt to be a little less technical and reach a wider audience ...
