evolution of orgasm

from the reviews of this book

I'm getting the impression that the author spends 320 pages arguing that the female orgasm does not have an evolutionary function, but that it is a pointless relic, like male nipples.

I think in this case, I stick with the old view, popularised by Desmond Morris among others, saying that it does benefit the pair bonding and thereby increases the fitness of the offspring in a small way.  Just by keeping mum happy ...  :)

So forget this book, get this one instead:

:D   How's that for shameless plugging ... ?
