The none-too-early departure of Donald Rumsfeld reminds me of some of the Doonesbury cartoons from the early days of the Iraq invasion, when the place was shown as a looter's and bomber's paradise under the new name of "Rummyland".  As always, Doonesbury had it exactly spot on.
