My name is Michael. I started collecting late 19th century Victorian furniture, from Eastlake, Renaissance Revival, Neo-Grec, etc., when I was 18. I have been intrigued my entire life by the late 1800s for some reason and knew I would have to own a Queen Anne, Stick, or Shingle-style victorian in my life time. I collected and saved for special furniture of the late 19th century. I purchased dozens of books either from the period itself or books that were remade such as catalogs, architectural floor plans, etc. When I was 25, on July 25, 2003, I saw this house and new this was the house for me. If you love Victorian homes you can see why. |
