Alex, Mimi and I were all looking for a fun and semi-taxing day hike on May 14 so I suggested it may be a good idea to check out Sprite Lake. Thus, we grabbed Fido; headed out to Salmon La Sac; and then drove the road until the snow would let us go no further (appx 2 miles from our trailhead). Hiking the road was enjoyable with nice views of the moss covered trees with Mt Daniel and Cathedral Rock in the background. I shot ahead once we hit the steep portion of the trail in order to scout out the best route to the pass and Alex, Mimi and Fido followed eagerly behind. The hightlikes of the hike were views of the impressive Cradle to the East with Glacier Peak "peaking" out from behind it and the surrounding peaks in the partial sunlight.
