MICHAELA BIO EN FRANAIS CLIQUER
in french
Michaela began singing in talent shows and contests at the age of 9. The reaction she received from the audiences she performed for made Michaela realize that this is what she was born to be, a singer/performer. Michaela began her career, "professionally," she explains,  at the age of 15. This is when she recorded in the studio for the first time her demo when she was in the singing group, "Special News" as lead singer. With Special News, Michaela traveled all over the U.S. performing  on television and stage seeking to get that big break.

Michaela for the first time heard her song on the radio at 16, from this point on there was no turning back. After acheiving nominal success with the group they disbanded when the other members who were older than Michaela headed out to Los Angeles, CA to pursue their dreams. Michaela stayed behind to finish her High School career, and launched her solo career. After finishing High School she moved to LA in and immediately began networking with the music community in California.
MICHAELA'S MUSIC BIO
Michaela did demo work for Motown records as well as some backgroud & lead vocal parts on some rap projects, which she wrote.  Michaela has also branched out and extended her career to working in the film industry as well. While in LA, Michaela was an extra in the films "White Men Can't Jump," starring Wesley Snipes,  "My Possee Don' t do Homework / Dangerous Minds," starring Michelle Phiffer,  and she crossed over to television and was also an extra on, "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," starring Wil Smith. "My goal is to break into the music business & become a huge success like Mariah, Witney & Janet Jackson. The three of them have both broken and set records, that's what I'm talking about."  Michaela has a passion for songwriting which is as great as her passion for singing. "I love to write because that's how I express myself best and people who have heard my songs tell me that it was as if I wrote the song about their situation or situations that they have been in. I write songs that people can relate to, about things that go on in all of our everyday lives and people like that, most importantly my lyrics make sense and they tell a story."

Michaela, in 1999 released a CD single
entitled, "You'll Be Mine," which she
wrote herself.  I put one song out
there to see how people would res-
pond to it, and it did even better than
I  thought it would do, considering the
fact that
I had no major- distribution
deal or radio stations promoting it
,
it was purely on contacts that I myself
and others in my camp had made. I'm
forever grateful to Blockbuster Music,
Tower Records, Manifest Music,
Peeples Music and a various other small
record stores located throughout the
U.S., for carrying my CD on consign-
ment. My CD sold a little over 4,100
copies selling out completely in most of
the stores that carried them. It made me
feel so good to know that I have some-
thing that the people want to hear and
also having to replenish their stock in
the stores that carried them, I was even
asked by several radio stations to do
some interviews and giveaways,"
Michaela says as she smiles. Michaela is
currently, in the studio working  on releasing a full 15 song CD, which she is financing completely by herself, in hopes that it will capture the attention of some majors so that she can finally get that big break she so deserves.
