Me
![]() Well, where to start? I live in Adrian, a small city in Michigan. I'd like to say hello to my family (I love you all) and my beautiful girlfriend Nicole, she's an angel and I don't know what I did to deserve her, but I'm glad she's here. (That's her in the pic with me, of course :) Isn't she cute?) Let's see... I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Sitting on the playground in Elementary School drawing cartoon characters and strange alien creatures for others was a common activity for me. I'm not sure when I started thinking of my artwork as something more than to pass my time, but somewhere along the line I started drawing what I saw and became really interested in doing it. So, I just finished up my Fine Arts degree at Monroe County Community College. Thanks Mr. Vassar & Mr. Wilson! You guys rule! I have lots of interests, but mostly I'm interested in Art, Computers, Anime, and Video Games. I'm currently working on learning 3D Studio Max, I like to do web pages, rollerblade, play hacky sack, Eucher with my friends and family, and I like being goofy in general. I figure you gotta have fun no matter where you're at or what you're doing! I'm also trying to learn to play the guitar, but that's coming along slowly... As for my artwork, I am most comfortable with just regular old wooden pencils, but I do some computer-assisted coloring and I also paint with acrylics and sometimes watercolors. I'm starting to like acrylic a lot and I will most likely begin to use it more and more. I doodle a lot, but as a consequence of having no time most of my drawings are unfinished apart from ones I do for class or a show. My doodles are usually of anime-influenced women, I love good anime, like Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke) which is a great film, I suggest you go rent it on DVD. Apart from my doodles, I can draw anything I can see, and I paint a lot of abstract images. A lot of people don't understand abstract art because they think of art as always being "about" something. Abstract art to me, is fun to do because you don't have to worry about accuracy and you can just work with the design and composition. I also love medieval and fantasy-oriented art, Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell being some of my favorite artists in that area. And, for some reason I have a fixation with drawing trees and clouds when I'm bored.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy. |
