June 2001
During the month of May, Chrissy and Tommy got to visit with their Aunt Shelly in Newport, RI. We all went up Memorial Day weekend, and while there, we went to the children's museum in Providence. Chrissy and Tommy had alot of fun playing in the water, dressing up, and going down the slide. We also went to the beach in Newport to build sandcastles and play in the waves. Earlier in the month we went
on a canal boat ride and toured some of the sites in
Washington, DC with the Behlers.
Barring any last minute, unforseen trips this month, our streak of consecutive months with at least one National Park Service passport stamp will come to an end. We've collected 159 stamps over the past
50 months (in May we got three more), but it has become too difficult to get away for at least one weekend a month to find a new one. After-all, we have just about every one within a two hour drive!

Here are some photographs from the month of May.

The Georgetown was the name of the canal boat that took us for a ride through the locks on the C&O Canal. Chrissy and Dominic like posing for picture together at the canal's headwaters and at the Lincoln Memorial.
