I went looking for you today.
I had no idea what to even say.
It seems all this that we call life was more of a play only there's no dress rehearsal.
If I could be that one that sparked a fire within you for love the way two special people can I would have been there.
If I could be your true friend then you know Iam always here for you.
I cant always make the blues go away but maybe together
we can walk through them and get to the other side singing about amazing grace.
If I could be all that others wanted I could never be happy.
I wake each day and wonder how long it must have been since true love came into my life and still wonder if I am truly alive as the rest just strive to make it through the night.
If I could be just a bright shining light to many as you have been to me; then I will know what ever pain I have had is not just an ugly stain in my heart.
For it was you that said maybe just a brand new start.
If I could be just the friend you are to me then maybe in your heart you can see from me you will never part.
