| First debuting in the winter of 1997, Baby Vox has since gone through 3 member changes. In the first album, Kan Mi-Youn replaced a member who was asked to leave. In the second album, Lee Gai and Shim Eun-Jin replaced two other members who had left. And in the third album, Yun Eun-Hye replaced Lee Gai. The only members who have been with BabyVox since the beginning are Kim E-Z and Lee Hee-Jin. The title song from the first album Muhlee Haneun Nahl, flopped, and the group quickly disappear from the fast paced gayo scene. To everyone's surprise, BabyVox return in the late summer of 1998 with a new album, a new image and new members. Turning away from the wannabe hardcore of sweat pants, hockey gloves, and hiking backpacks; to be a more cuter, a more feminine image of lace and baby doll dresses, BabyVox found their intial popularity. Two songs from the second album was performed, hitting their highest on the charts at number 3 for their title song, Ya Ya Ya, and within the top ten for their second song ,Change. After leaving for the early part of 1999, the group went through one more member change, adding Yun Eun-Hye, then a middle school student, to the team. They return in the fall of 1999 with their new album Come Come Come Baby, a new song Get Up and yet another new image. Parting from the cuter style of the first album, BabyVox contrived a more sexier with skin tight clothing, belly revealing tops, along with graceful outlayers. Their titile song hit the top of the charts on KBS Music Bank, and then their second song Killer brought them recognition of a first place tropy on SBS Ingki Gayo. For the last song as a fan service, they sang Missing You. Their final performance for the third album was in the later part of 1999. During their "break", they took a short promotion tour of China, had their first fan club meeting of Baby Angles, and sang the titile song to the animated movie Gundress. Late of May 2000, BabyVox make a come back with Why, their 4th album, it's also their title song. A couple of members had changed their image to look more sophistocated. Their fashion in Way had become more like Chakra in Han. |
