| 1979 Pontiac Trans Am WS6's that were equipped with an automatic came with an Oldsmobile 403. Although the 403 was a smog era engine, with the right combination of parts it can be a nice performer. My best ET to date is 13.4 @ 102. I have modified the engine, rebuilt the trans with a shift kit and 2500 stall converter, installed 3.42 rear gears and have true duals with mandrel bent 2.5" pipes with a H cross over and Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers. | |||||||||||||||
