Mice/Rats cages need to be cleaned on a regular basis or they could get dieseies.A dirty cage is also an umplesent smelly cage cage and does not look attractive. Mice/Rats love a clean cage it is a new world to explore!. |

Depending on how many mice/rats in your cage it will be cleaned at least once a week. Personally 2 or 1 mouse/rat can be cleaned once a week but more then that needs to be cleaned more often. This might not be the case for you.It just depends on your rodents I mean they are all different so just see what is good for your mice/rats so they don't have to live in a smelly cage. |

After you clean the cage it is a good idea to move the contents around as this is a "New World" and the rodents will just love exploring this.Just make sure everything is acessable for the most slower mouse/rat so that everyone can use it and be happy. |

Mice/rats like to defend there territory expecially males!. They mark there territory with there own unique scent over everything in the cage.If a new rodent enters there territory they are an intruder and the two mice/rats might end up fighting. |
