Friday I'm In... Love?

Friday night. It was finally Friday night again.

Miss Parker stood in front of the cold grave stone, watching it in silence. Carefully, she placed a white lily on top of the stone, just like she'd done it every week for almost two months now.

She missed Tommy. He'd become a part of her life amazingly fast, and she'd lost him as soon as she'd realized it. Her visiting his grave had become a ritual. Even when she'd been shot in the shoulder she'd come here, though she should have stayed in bed. Sydney had accompanied her, grinding his teeth but understanding just how important this was to her.

Then Tommy wouldn't be dead. And she'd been spared a lot of pain. He had loved her, and now he was dead. Just like her mother.

Gently she shook her had, trying to get rid of these thoughts. All she wanted was to keep the good memories of Tommy.

Fifteen minutes later she reached her home. A slow smile spread on her lips. This part of the Friday-night-arrangement was the most interesting. Expectation washed through her, alongside with memories of last Friday. It had definitely been special. This night could hardly be any better, could it?

Her smile deepened. She was determined to try. Lost in her thoughts she went to the living-room. When she was halfway there, she was suddenly gripped from behind, encircled in two strong arms.

"You're late", a deep voice whispered into her ear. "Everything alright?"

Miss Parker nodded. A warm feeling flooded through her. His concern touched something deep inside of her. And the gentle touch of his hands stirred a feeling, that she yet hesitated to identify.
