Young Marine of the Year-The Young Marine of the Year is chosen by the Commanding Officer of a Unit. Only one is issued per year. A gold letter device is centered on this ribbon for the level the Young Marine of the Year reached.
Drug Demand Reduction Ribbon-Take a drug awareness class such as D.A.R.E. or C.O.P.S., then turn in the certificate of completion.
Community Service Ribbon-Perform fifty (50) hours of community service work within one (1) years time, and turn in the documents to prove it. Bronze stars are added for multiple awards.
BasicRibbon-This is the first ribbon given to Young Marines upon completion of basic training, must have had good attendance throughout the training.
