| Sue Van Wassenhove: Formerly a foreign language and art teacher, Sue spends as much time as possible writing poetry-both formal and free verse-for kids and adults. Humor, nature, and family are her most frequent themes. Her other passions include watercolor painting, beading, and quilting. Though her beading has not yet been used to illustrate a poem, both painting and quilting have. She is working on a book of Everglades poetry for children with quilted illustrations. Her most recent illustration was a quilted crocodile head. When painting, doing faces is her favorite subject. Sue and her husband Joe share a love for folk dancing and travel. They've lived in Austria and Switzerland and yearn for the mountains. They have four sons. E-mail: [email protected]. |
