| Hayde� Ullfig emigrated from Argentina to Chicago, Illinois when she was 10 years old. She majored in Fine Art at William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, Illinois, graduating with a BBA degree in 1998 from the University of Miami. As a single mother she has been busy raising her two children (Michelle, now 22, and Nick, nearing 20) in Miami, Florida. She is employed as an Office Manager/Interior Designer/Purchasing Agent for an Architectural and Interior Design firm. Her illustrations include a Children�s Activity Book commissioned by the Caribe Hilton Hotel in Puerto Rico; commercial storyboards; and children�s portraits in pastel. She is currently doing intense research for a new and exciting project; writing and illustrating a multicultural picture book (to be written in English, Spanish, and Portuguese). The endearing and unusual main character happens to be an endangered species. |
