Well, not much to say. We lost, well, we were mercy ruled 17-2 in 6 innings. Although four key starters were missing, we came to play. They only problem is that we had two other participants that played much to big a roll than they should have in the outcome of this one. No excuses, we take it on the chin and move on. RECORD: 4-1. Players of the Week: The entire team for surviving this one.

This game was definitely for the stats. Our offensive production was stupendous, with the majority of the line-up putting up numbers. 10 of 14 hitters in the line-up had at least one hit, while David Krochmal and Kenyon West had a multiple hit day. Ed Cooper was all over the bases today going 1 for 1 with 3 walks and 3 runs scored (AND I CANNOT LEAVE OUT HIS SPECTACULAR THIRD BASE STEAL--WAY TO GO ED). The defense was sluggish giving up 7 errors. Only 1 run was earned of the 6 the White Sox posted. But as they say time and time again, pitching kept us in the game. Fred Krochmal pitched 6 with 5 K's, 2BB, 2H, no earned runs and the Win. Joey Difranco pitched 5 of 6 outs for strikeouts in his two innings. And Kenyon West, yes, that name again, closed with a perfect inning with 2 K's. Can this Manager Draft or what? RECORD: 6-1 Players of the Week: David Krochmal: 3-4, 1B, 2B, 3B, (just missed the cycle), 2 RUNS, RBI Kenyon West: 2-2, 2B, SB / 1 inning, 2 K's Ed Cooper: 1-1, 3BB, SB, 3 RUNS Joey Difranco: 2 innings, 5 K's, 3 H Fred Krochmal: 6 innings, 5 K's, 2 H, 2 BB, and His first WIN

We managed another Mercy Rule Victory over the Dade Blue Jays 13-3 in 7 innings. Leading the team with bursts for power were John Scott, Ryan Ennis, and David Krochmal each having a multiple hit Day. Bert Montero came through again with men on to knock in 2 RBI's. It was a wild one with the entire team batting (13) in the line-up. Most received three trips to the plate, however, due to unforseen circumstances, our game ended early and several players didn't get their WHACKS? Team discipline and unity is what wins championships, not "leader boarders." If we are going to take the title, we need to play as a team. Record: 7-1. Players of the Week: John Scott: 2-2, 2SB, Run Bert Montero: 1-3, 2B, 2 RBI Ryan Ennis: 2-3, 2B, Run, RBI Joey Difranco: 2-3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 Run, K

Mercy rule again. This time on the Miami Expos. Everyone contributed to this one. Moises, our newest pitching addition, had a spectacular game. Joey "D" keeps impressing us with his bat knocking one out (WAY OUT). Bert stayed strong posting another RBI. Ryan R not only came in and caught (big shoes to fill), but he also posted a multiple hit day. All in all, great effort. Lets keep it up. Final score: 13 - 1 in 7 innings. Record: 8-1. Players of the Week: Moises Gomez Joey Difranco Ryan Rothenberg

This week was another waxing. The America All Stars must have left their All Stars at home for this one. 11 - 0 in 7 innings created a MERCY RULE situation yet again. The only real excitement that comes to mind, is Ed Cooper running all over the base paths going 3 -3 with a big double, 5 runs batted in and a run scored. On the mound was big "D" throwing a one hit shut out through 5. Moises Gomez closed the game with 5 K's and, once again, another two "SMACKS" to lead the team in hits batsman. (Moises has owned this title for as long as I have known him. A record he is proud of) With an 11 run lead, sorry Moises no save again this time. Record: 9-1. Players of the Week: Ed Cooper Danny Garcia Moises Gomez

WAY TO GO BOYS. WHAT A BIG GAME. DEVIL RAYS 11 CARDINALS 7. Game started out rough. Not only did we leave several people on the bases in the first two innings, we managed to give up 3 errors as well. Next thing I knew, we were staring at a 7-1 score. But after making some 'key' defensive changes and giving them Moises' side are 'stuff' to look at, our bats woke up. 5 players scored multiple runs while Ryan Rothenberg and Ryan Ennnis (Ryan Squared) had multiple hit days. David Blanco lead the team in RBI's with 2. Pete Enriquez started of the biggest inning and turning point in the game with an opposite field ("in-and-out" swing) hit down the third base line that brought our dugout to its' feet and began the end of the Cards. But without a doubt the key player in this one was Moises (EL DUKE) Gomez coming in and shutting the Cards down with 5 1/3 inn, 3 H, 9 K 0 RUNS, and most of all, HE DIDN'T HIT ANYONE. LOOK OUT CANES HERE WE COME!!! Record: 10-1. Players of the Week: Moises Gomez Ryan Ennis Ryan Rothenberg David Blanco Pete Enriquez

ALL I CAN SAY IS, THANKS GUYS FOR THE BEST SEASON YET FOR THE MIAMI DEVIL RAYS. This week we went up against the first place Miami Canes. This would be our second meeting in five seasons with the Canes taking the first. But not this time. Danny Garcia held his own against one of the top 3 hitting teams in the league. 3 earned runs in 6 innings kept us in the game from start to finish. Ed Cooper once again, came out and ROPED the ball twice scoring a run and leading the team with consistent offense. But it was Ryan Rothenberg who stepped up to the plate with 2 men on and a 3 - 1 score and "scorched" a rocket to the right center for a triple, clearing the bases and tying the game. Then it was Moises "EL DUKE" Gomez coming in and shutting the Canes down for 3 solid innings leading up to the bottom of the ninth. Then, with the Guru prediction of Pete Enriquez, Rey Nunez stepped up to the plate and took the first pitch "YARD" to win the game 4 - 3 and leave the Canes on the field. We are ready for the playoffs. Record: 11-1. Players of the Week: Rey Nunez Ryan Rothenberg Ed Cooper Moises Gomez Danny Garcia
