Biggest meet on e-biz in April
Some 200 captains of industry are expected at the national conference on Solutions for e-Commerce - Build Your Empire on the US$3 Trillion e-Economy, aimed at helping Malaysia expedite, and effectively implement, e-commerce and the knowledge economy.
"This is the biggest conference on e-commerce supported by the Government and leading information technology companies," said organiser P.H.S.Lim, president of the Malaysian Investors' Association (MIA).
The event, which is cosponsored by Digicert Sdn Bhd, will cover all aspects of e-commerce, including security, digital certificate, cyberlaw, strategies, online services in banking, stock and share trading , telecommunications, and global marketing.
Minister of Energy, Telecommunications and Multimedia Datuk Omar Leo Moggie will deliver the keynote address at the conference, which will be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on April 4-5.
Among other key speakers are representatives from Arthur Andersen Advanced Technology Group Sdn Bhd, IBM. Sun Microsystems, Multi-Purpose Bank, Mimos Bhd, JetFM Sdn Bhd, Mia Mega Technologies and the MIA.
