Chapter 7: Abush and More Seduction

“I told you, Anubis, I don’t want children.”

 

“But I do. I don’t want to be the last of my line.” He explains to me.

 

“But why does Talpa want me? I have nothing to offer him at all.”

 

“Can’t say that I know. He doesn’t tell me everything, you know.”

 

“Yeah…” ‘Get here soon, guys...’

 

“Hey, there’s a light up ahead!” Ryo observes. “We must be getting to the end.”

 

“I hope we don’t find anything…evil.” Cye replies hopefully.

 

“If there is, we’ll kick their armored butts!” Kento tells him determined.

 

“I wouldn’t count on that.” A voice replies. It was Seijio.

 

“Sage!” Rowen calls out.

 

“Sage, you’re alright!!” Ryo was relieved.

 

“Do you know where Mia is?” Cye asks. “She was captured too.”

 

“Maybe.”

 

Mia gasps when she thinks she hears the Ronins as they draw closer.

 

Anubis raises an eyebrow at this. “What was that little gasp for?”

 

Not wanting to give her friends’ location away, she simply replies. “Nothing. I was just…overcome for a moment.” ‘Thank you, Ancient One.’ Mia thinks. ‘Maybe things will come out good in the end.’

 

“Mmm…I see.” He bends down and starts nibbling on my ear.

 

“What do you mean “maybe”?” Kento tells Seijio. “Either you know where she is, or you don’t.”

 

“Oh, I know where she is.”

 

“Can you take us to her then?” Cye asks him.

 

Seijio nods and starts walking in the direction that he came from, and the others follow him. However, he leads them PAST Anubis’ chamber where Mia actually is, and to the dungeons instead.

 

“In this cell.”

 

“Are you sure?” Ryo asks.

 

He nods.

 

“You sure are acting funny, Sage. I thought you were in love with her. He only shrugs this off, and it surprises the other Ronin Warriors greatly.

 

Sensing that her friends are in danger, she yells out. “NO!!”

 

“Eh?” Anubis remarks, confused. The other Ronins hear her cry.

 

“What was that?” Cyee asks.

 

“Don’t know.” Kento tells him.

 

“Sounded like Mia!!” Ryo observed urgently. Then he tries calling out to her. “MIA! MIA, WHERE ARE YOU??!”

 

Just then Seijio draws his sword, revealing the darkness he was hiding from them all. “YOU’LL NEVER LIVE TO RESCUE HER!” Then he laughs evilly.

 

“WHAT?!” says Rowen in shock and surprise.
