I currently enjoy trail riding, jumping every now and
then, working on dressage, and barrel racing for fun with Tacker... when I am not working with the young horses or other projects I have taken on or showing my Walking Horses.

2005 has put Tacker and I into the Speed Show arena.  We are currently competing at the Open Show level.  We may never make it to the "Big Time", but it is something else to add to Tacker's list of accomplishments as a Thoroughbred Ex-Racehorse!  He also made a short venture back onto the race track in Mount Pleasant, Michigan... but I think his racing career is completely done and next year we will return to the other things we do.
This is General Barnett, my first Thoroughbred off the track.  He was raced until he was around 10 years old.  He is fourteen in this picture.  General was purchased by the Draper family in 3/2000 and has been their beloved trail mount and 4-H/Open Show horse ever since... doing very well in Flat Hunter and Western Pleasure.
I placed a Thoroughbred ex-race mare I co-owned into an awesome home 3/2005 where she will be used to produce quality Sport Ponies.  She will be crossed with a gorgeous Caspian Horse stallion.  Her name is She'sa Catch and anyone looking for a nice Sport Pony should click on the link below and check her out on the Mares page.  There should be a Thoroughbred cross Sport Pony foal available for purchase in the Summer of 2006.  There are currently other fine pony crosses available for sale at Patton's Caspian Horses and Sport Ponies.  Patton's offers purchase of in-utero foals and "make your own foal" by picking the mare and the stallion you would most like a foal from.

(Communication Alliance to Network Thoroughbred Ex-Racehorses).  CANTER has expanded to many states, having started in Michigan, and they help to place Thoroughbreds from the track into new careers and loving homes.
