My name is Blake Sasaki
and a 1988 graduate of Marysville High school I am
currently the Director
of Sports Marketing at the University of California, Irvine.
While at M.H.S., I was
actively involved with sports, clubs and student
government. From
my freshman through senior years, I played football, basketball and tennis.
Upon graduating from M.H.S.,
I spent two years at Yuba College getting my
A.A. Degree while lettering
on the intercollegiate tennis team. I then
transferred to the University
of California, Davis where I received my B.A.
in Exercise Science in
1994. While there, I interned in the UC Davis
Athletics Department and
with the Sacramento Kings, while playing for the
club lacrosse team for
three seasons. I was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha
Fraternity and lived in
the Pike House during my senior year.
After receiving my Bachelor's
Degree, I moved to San Francisco to take a
public relations internship
with the West Coast Conference. While working
for the league, I worked
part time with the Golden State Warriors. After a
year, I was accepted in
to the prestigious Sports Administration Masters
Program at Ohio University
in Athens, OH. After graduating with my Masters
Degree in 1996, I took
my first job as the Assistant Director of Sports
Marketing at Weber State
University in Ogden, UT.
In 1998, I received the
job at UC Irvine. I currently live in Orange County.
