Thank you for visiting my personal
and professional website; it will forever be a work in progress
because art is a life-long project. The biography section
was created by my sister, Stacey, as a way to give viewers
of my work a bit of history about myself.
My dream has always been to work for an animaxtion studio
on a major motion picture since childhood. Disney and Dreamworks
have been a large influence on my artwork. Experiences in
my life and stories of others' lives and experiences are also
a major influence of the subject and style of my artwork.
I am currently working as a freelance artist after graduating
from the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago and completing
an internship at Gold Skeleton Pictures. It is my goal to
convert from a freelance artist to working full-time at an
art studio in the very near future.
Lastly, I would like to thank several people who have helped
me get where I am today. My father, who has encouraged and
supported me in life and made it possible for me to attend
art school in Chicago. My art teachers throughout my life;
who have also been a pillar of support, guidance, and a source
of knowledge of the art world. My mother, who encouraged me
in childhood to express my creative side. My sisters, who
have been sources of inspiration of characters and storylines
and have been supportive of me in my artistic endeavors. Stacey,
the elder of my two sisters, who created this website for
me to express myself and created a medium to allow me to exhibit
my artwork to a larger audience.
Thank You,
Michael
