| This is my new 1993 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24. I bought this car in the end of May, 2004 for $2,150. I LOVE it! Not only does it look quite a bit better then my old car, but it absolutely blows the doors off of every single import I've gone up against. Its 5-speed manual transmission transforms the 3.1 liter V6's horsepower in to rubber-peeling, neck snapping acceleration as it throws you down the road whether you like it or not. As I have learned with this car, when American car companies make a "sports" model, they make a sports model! Not only does it push 140+ horsepower as opposed to the base model's 90 hp, but they also tweaked the suspension as well! I don't know much about the shocks and struts, however, I do know they are improved drastically from the base model. The most impressive performance feature I've noticed is the factory strut bar in the front, and the steel braced backseat which acts as a strut bar. You can feel the stiffness caused by these mods, and when you throw yourself through cloverleaves at 45 mph, stiffness is a must!! |
