AJ's 1981 Suzuki DS125
This was my first bike, however, an old 125 lacks the power an crazy nut like me craves. It was originally owned by a friend of mine named Aaron. He sold it to my friend Tom, who sold it to me for $200. I just bought a 500 from Tom, so I decided rather than attempting to sell such an old bike, I would just give it to my cousin AJ and let him have his share of fun on it. This bike was actually built from 2 identical bikes, although one was an enduro and one a straight dirtbike. The best parts of the 2 were chosen, and what you see is the end result. It has a 125 block which has been bored to a 185. The tires are 100% offroad tires, but have gotten pretty hard over the years. I repainted the bike when I got it, and added my high school football number for that motocross touch. The bike is a little underpowered for me, but still a LOT of fun to ride. With the tires it has, it will get through almost anything, and effortlessly too. AJ has not had the opportunity to ride with us yet, but he'll get his first taste of offroad glory soon enough, and I'm sure he'll have the time of his life, just like I have!
