Well, it looks like we have survived another month, and hopefully we are ready to start April. In this month, we not only see April Fools Day, but we also have Holy Week and Easter. Before you know it, the schools will be letting out for Summer Break, and people will be going on their Summer Vacations.
Over this last month, I have not made much of any changes to the Web Site. As of this writing of the "Webmasters Corner," the Web Site still will not come up when you search for it. Over the next few months, I am going to be doing some research on what might need to be done to have the site found by the search engines. I have added links to Child Protective Services, Arizona Blue Stake, the Federal Trade Commission for Identity Theft, and the Three Credit Bureau Online Services. I have also rewritten the "What is the Mobile Home Owners Association of Orange Grove Estates?" page and created a "Comments, Concerns, and Complaints to OGE Management" page. Hopefully, these pages will help clarify what MHOA is and how to get your issues addressed by the park management.
Also, I found out that the new "Upcoming Events Marquee" is not compatible with Netscape Navigator with a version less than 7.0. I am working on trying to resolve this issue, but Im not having much luck in finding an easy solution. Right now, Im going to need to recommend that visitors to this Web Site use Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator version 7.0 or higher.
On a positive note, I received an e-mail message from Bea Hassell letting me know that she thinks I am doing a great job on this Web Site. She is very impressed with the calendar of events and has decided to print and make copies of the upcoming months to distribute them to people that are shut-in or dont have Internet access. I just wanted to thank Bea for the high complements and for offering to help get this information out to our community. Thank you very much Bea!
As I stated when I started the "Webmasters Corner," I might include some editorial comments in this "newsletter" once in a while. Well, now is going to be one of those times. As you read this, please keep in mind that this does not necessarily reflect the views of MHOA, Social Club, or any other organization that is in this park.My wife and I have been active in various organizations here at Orange Grove Estates since December of 2002. In that time, I have seen organizations agree to do activities but then not get any volunteers to help. Or, what is worse, people volunteer to help with an activity and then never show up. In my opinion, if the leaders of an organization cant get the volunteers to help with an activity, then those same leaders should cancel the activity, even if the organization at large voted to do it. Why should the leaders of an organization make the assumption that their members want something if they cant get the members to volunteer for it? The message is that the activity really isnt wanted after all.
