Welcome to the �Webmaster�s Corner� for the month of March, 2004! In March, we get to see St. Patrick�s Day come around again, the start of another Spring, and make our preparations for Easter (this year it falls on April 11th, so be ready).
I have started a small change to the �Webmaster�s Corner� this month. Instead of taking a paragraph of text to let you know how many times the Web Site has been visited, I have created a table that will be at the bottom of this �newsletter.� Please look for it at the bottom of the page every month.
Have you seen the construction down at 67th Avenue and Northern, and wondered what it was all about? The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has finally started work on the 67th Avenue Overpass. If you are interested in the plans for this intersection, you can review them from the ADOT Web Site. I have added a link to the page that contains information specific to the 67th Avenue and Northern intersection. You can find that link on the �External Web Sites� page.
Earlier in February, I was finally able to add the first picture to the Web Site. If you do not know who our park managers are, you can now see a picture of them for yourself. Their picture can be found on the �Orange Grove Estates Park Management� page. I want to personally thank Mr. Rick Ernst for his time, talent, and being willing to share the photograph with me, so I could bring it to you. My hope is that this will be only the first of several photos to be posted on the Web Site.
Finally, the big project for this last month was the addition of a new feature on the Home Page. You will find right under the �Amber Alert Ticker� a new marquee that will display the current date and any upcoming events in the next 14 days. One of the main reasons it took so long to get this up on the Web Site, is that I needed to program the marquee so it would automatically be updated, and I wouldn�t need to manually update the information every day or two. I hope it is helpful to you and please let me know what you think about it.
