Webmaster's Corner
for February 2004
Welcome to February, the sweetest month of the year.
During this month we will see Groundhog Day, St. Valentines Day, Presidents Day, Ash Wednesday, and the State of Arizona will turn 92 years old.
If you already think this year is going by too fast, take comfort in the fact that we have 29 days in February this year.
During the month of January, the Web Site was visited 56 times (down from the 85 visits in December), and I received four e-mail messages.
Since the Web Site was started, it has been visited a total of 141 times.
Back in the middle of December, I sent a request to Yahoo to include this Web Site in their directory.
As of the writing of this "Webmasters Corner," I have not received any reply from them, and it still is not coming up when you do a search on the Web.
One new area on the Web Site contains selected articles from the AAMHO Update.
The AAMHO Update is a publication of the Arizona Association of Manufactured Home Owners, Inc. (AAMHO).
This publication contains updates to events and issues that AAMHO is involved in.
This would include anything from something at a local park, all the way to the Arizona State Legislation.
The AAMHO Update is to be mailed out to current AAMHO members four times a year.
I would like to thank Millie Kramer and Ben McGilvery for their help in giving me permission to post the three articles from the Winter 2004 issue.
It is my hope to be able to post additional articles from upcoming issues.
On January 26, the first MHOA General Meeting was held for 2004.
During the meeting, it was decided to hold meetings during the entire year, and not take a break during the summer months and change the time for the general meetings from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Also, as an incentive for members to pay their MHOA Annual Dues, there will be a "rebate" for those members that have paid their dues in full by February 29, 2004.
After the full $12 has been paid, the member will receive half of the dues (or $6) back during the month of March.
Because the dues of $1 per month ($12 per year) are set in the by-laws, the Board of Directors can not change the requirement, but the membership did vote to return the $6.
The reason the board can not just take $6 for the full annual dues, is that they must show the member has paid the full $12 to satisfy the requirement of the by-laws.
Please note, this is only for the MHOA dues, and does not apply to the $19 AAMHO dues.
As you are viewing this Web Site, please keep three things in mind.
First of all, I do not design Web Sites for a living; this is more of a hobby rather than a job.
Like any hobby, there is a learning curve and there is a lot to learn about designing and maintaining a Web Site.
I am learning new things as time permits, and what I learn might be incorporated into this site.
The second thing I would like you to keep in mind is, as with any other hobby, I can only work on the Web Site as time permits.
If I am asked to place something on the site, and I agree to it, it might be a few days before I can create the page and upload it.
Finally, this is still an unofficial Web Site for MHOA.
Any views or opinions I might share on this Web Site are not necessarily those shared by MHOA or the Board of Directors.
