Letter from
Salt River Project (SRP)
The following is a letter I received on Wednesday, October 27, 2004.
October 18, 2004
Dear Neighbor:
SRP is planning a project to remove the overhead power lines and install new lines underground along 67th Aveune.
This project is important to you in that it will enable SRP to continue providing safe and reliable power to your home while improving the look of your community.
The construction involves trenching on the west side of 67th Avenue from Royal Palm Road to Butler Drive.
During construction, southbound traffic may be restricted while the crews work.
However, they will work with you to maintain access to your home.
Please keep in mind that it is SRP's policy to restore all landscaping as close to its original condition as possible when the job is compleate.
We urge you to take caution around construction areas as the work involves large equipment ond other potentially hazardous conditions.
In several locations SRP will be installing above-ground electrical equipment.
These cabinets are necessary for the underground power.
These areas are marked by clusters of white flags.
The trenching and electrical work is scheduled to begin in this week and will last approximately 8-10 weeks.
Please understand that the project is not complete until all utilities (cable TV, telephone, etc.) have removed their overhead lines from the poles.
Start and completion dates are dependent upon weather and other construction related issues.
Every effort is made to prevent accidental outages.
SRP will notify you in advance of any extended outage.
We appreciate your cooperation concerning this project and apologize in advance for any inconvenience you might experience.
It is SRP's goal to continue delivering safe and reliable power to your home.
Please feel free to call me with any questions or concerns at (602) 236-2540.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Winn (signed)
