| A word about the Training Calculator: My GM and I both agreed on this system for training calculation. Neither one of us still has the original, small book rules for BUSHIDO. We both think this is the way stats were calculated in the first edition. We calculated it out, and if a standard BUSHI were to train EVERY BUGEI and EVERY ART, all the way up to 99, there was no way he could get his stats up to 40 in all 6 attributes. We both agree that is not quite right, so instead of the increase being 10% and 5% of the BCS increase, it is 10% and 5% of the SCORE increase that is used (Physical / Mental). If your GM will not allow this high of a gain, simply divid the amount of gain by 5 to get what the Second Edition rules say is the amount of gain. |

| A word about the encounter generator: This is ZIP file including Q-Basic and a batch file. Unzip this into a directory, then simply double click on the batch file. It will NOT work with a USB printer Works like a dream on a dot matrix HP printers will usually give a warning when the program tries to print. It will be a PAPER-OUT warning. Simply press the 'load' button on the printer and it will then print the encounters. This is an OLD DOS program, but I have run it in Win98SE and Win2000 I am currently working on making an Excel based generator, but it is slow going! |
| A word about the Bandit Generator: You do NOT want to save the changes you make to this file to generate the bandits. Once you generate them, close the file without saving, or it will make more work for you the next time you need them |
