How to use the Present Simple زمن المضارع البسيط The Present Simple is used:- استخدامه1. to talk about things which happen again and again. These are our daily routines and our habits. e.g., للتعبير عن العادات او الروتين اليومي I He drinks tea.She walks to school.It eats my food.We swim every week.You eat lunch at 4pm.They go to Greece every summer.
2. To talk about facts, things which are true and are the same for a long time. e.g., يعبر عن الحقائق I He l ives in London.She works for an e-business.Madrid i s hot in the summer.We live in Paris.You are French.They love football.Water boils at 100°.
How to make the Present Simple. كيف نكون المضارع البسيط Singular Plural I visit / play We play / visitYou visit / play You play / visitHe / She / It visits / plays They play / visit
1. In the 3rd person singular (he / she / it) put - s on the verb. e.g.,She It never works!He sleeps a lot.
2. In the 3rd person singular if the verb finishes with the letters o, x, ss, sh, or ch, put - es at the end. e.g., x . sh . o . ss . ch مع الافعال المنتهية بـ es نضيفfinish - finish wash - wash es miss - misses
3. In the 3rd person singular if the verb finishes with a consonant + y, put - ies at the end. e.g., إذا كان قبلها حرف ساكن في الفعل ies إلي y نحول الـmarry - marr hurry - hurr ies fly - flies
4. In the 3rd person singular if the verb finishes with a vowel + y, put -s at the end. e.g.,buy - buy
5. The verb have changes to has in the 3rd person singular. e.g.,He
