Our name, "Aesthetic Values", is a reflection of our goal - making art affordable for everyone... giving everyone a chance to enjoy and appreciate real artwork. It began with a very simple idea: why should I have to pay hundreds of dollars for a high-quality framed print of a painting I loved, when someone could actually paint a copy of it? So, I gave it a try and my friends loved it, and soon they were asking me to paint things for them too - Van Gogh, Monet, Edvard Munch and Gustav Klimt just to name a few. And that's how this company was born.
A print does not even compare to having a "living, breathing painting" on your wall. The difference is unbelievable. You can feel the texture, the ridges in the paint from each brush stroke... lighting changes as you move across the room... all of the depth and an amazing number of subtleties that are lost in a simple photograph of a painting. All these things are missing from even the highest quality of print that money could buy. Once you have seen your favorite works of art in three-dimensions, made of real oil paint on thick canvas, you will find posters and prints just seem so dull.
People think they can never afford to have a "real" painting on their walls. I want to change that. |
